Between 18 and 30 metres, you can find El Peñón, sunked by El Pejin a couple of years ago to create an artificial reef near Tabaiba's coast (just 60 metres away from our facilities).
Surrounded by lovely life, this wreck is heeled 38 degrees to starboard. This old tug boat served for 49 years on the Santa Cruz's port. But this is the third it was sunked, the first time was because an accident while it was helping the mitic British ocean liner Canberra to dock. Then, during the maneuvers to refloat, it sank again.
Today, absolutely cleaned and adapted for scuba diving wreck visits, El Peñón will rest forever in our coasts helping to regenerate the underwater life of the zone.
